Do you want to be part of a new and growing telecoms business?

You'll join a friendly, small but experienced team that really cares about their customers. You'll take phone calls from clients, log their queries and solve issues of minor to medium urgency.

As the first point of client contact you will need to listen effectively, show empathy and have strong communication skills.

As well as dealing with existing customers problems you will be required to help set up and provision new customers orders on a multitude of telecoms products.

To ensure all orders are managed efficiently and pro-actively throughout the order life cycle. Customer communication and supplier management are two essential skill sets within this position. This role underpins a high-performance provisioning team, ensuring we can support the company strategy of being the leading supplier of data network services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all order placement and management of orders through to the planning cycle
  • Providing good customer communications both written and orally
  • Responsible for tracking all associated orders, working with colleagues to identify any potential issues
  • Ensuring all relevant fields on internal systems are updated real time and delivery dates are accurately forecasted
  • Reporting any issues in order placement or planning to the reporting line manager for early resolution
  • Interacting with other key departments to ensure good working relationships are maintained, and communications internally are clear
  • Dealing with any potential customer escalations and highlighting any issues to the line manger
  • Escalate to Suppliers and proactively chase for order progression to ensure key deliverable dates are met.
  • Ensuring any excess/additional charges are approved by the customer prior to providing agreement to commence
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure planned works are on track
  • Communicate effectively and in line with the communication process to customers updating them on progress of their orders
  • Ensuring internal tasks to other departments are raised within SLA
  • Highlight any pricing queries back to the Project/Account manager
  • Ensuring Suppliers portals are fully utilised for the purpose of ordering and obtaining order updates.
  • Adhoc administration duties as and when requested by line manager.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Computer literate, able to use e-mail systems as well as word and excel applications

• Able to communicate with effectively with both customers, colleagues and management

• Effective at customer query handling with the ability to work in fast moving and changing


• Organised with excellent prioritisation skills

• Determined to succeed

• Skilled at paying attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £18,000.00 to £24,000.00 /year
