What's on offer: Finance Assistant

Our client is leading provider for manage print services and digital document solutions.
They require a Finance Assistant who is used to working in a high-pressured finance department as part of a small team. This role will form a key component of the Finance & Operations department and will assist with all financial aspects relating to business operations.

You will need to have Microsoft Excel to an Advanced level (you should be able to do macros, advanced formulae and charting. 

Opera II (Pegasus) would also be advantageous along with book-keeping experience.

Ideally you would have a minimum of 2 years’ experience and have a resilience to work in a fast-paced sales environment with excellent communication and organisational skills to meet deadlines.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform the month end pre-close checks and run the month end procedure
  • Assist Finance Manager in the preparation of the monthly Management Accounts
  • Raise payments to suppliers via online banking for approval by management
  • Raise all sales invoices including customer meter reading invoices
  • Assist Accounts Payable with the processing of invoicing when required
  • Raise bid pricing and follow through to approval
  • Prepare contract amendments for review by management
  • Process termination quotes
  • Process price increases.
  • Update contract band changes when required
  • Weekly stock reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Bespoke customer invoicing and reporting
  • Responding to internal and external finance queries within the required SLA
  • Any other duties as determined by the Finance management team.
